okay i didnt know if there was anything i didn't see a post on this. so for giv me if i am mistaken.

how can we make a filemanager default in e17 other then the well e17s file manage like dolphin or pcmanfm thanks in advance even nautilus would work thanks

okay found out to all who want to know it seems at least with pcmanfm if you install it and remove all other file managers and unload the filemanager modules in e17 then whats left is the file manger ei..... pcmanfm

If you disable the filemanager module you can't have files and shortcuts on your desktop.
To use a custom filemanager and have working desktop icons enable the filemanger module, open the places gadget settings, select 'use custom filemanager' and fill in the command of the filemanager you want to use. Also make sure 'show in menu' is selected in the places gadget settings because Texstar patched the e filemanager out of the menu to have the desktop icons working.
