I used the df command and I got the following results
9.7 GB used and 46 GB available
It was 8.9 GB used before I attempted to mylivecd and now even after bleachbit, bleachbit root, and cleaning /tmp I still get 9.7 GB used.
It only makes it ~20% through the compression when the computer power turns off. I read all the way through the suggest thread and didn't see anything that applied to my problem. I am not excluding anything, and I started with the full monty iso then removing a couple of gigs of programs. I assume full monty was built using this script, but that might not be the case. I see no error message it just shuts down. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jordan
Run bleachbit and bleachbit root again. Unless you need them, you can delete the logs at /root/.synaptic/log (must be done as root). Yes, mylivecd is the tool used in remastering.
I think your problem may be related to something else. mylivecd does not turn off the computer. If it fails, it returns an error message. Using the livecd, run memtest. This will test your RAM, the most likely fail point, I think.
