So this is a nifty little feature allowing you to display your magazine in flash. Allows users to view the magazine with out downloading and opening it.

I looked all over the internet and found tones but most are paid/windows applications that convert the pdf file. But I did fined one free open source one and it worked very well on my own website.

glamdering,

That sounds/looks cool ... for those who may want to try it. But my vote is for the PCLinuxOS Magazine to remain in its current PDF and HTML formats.

I, for one (and I know I'm not alone) cannot wait for Flash to go away (hurry up HTML 5!), and certainly don't want to appear as if I am supporting Flash-based content. Plus, PDFs are viewable on even the most modest of computers (read that as very, very old), whereas some older computers have some real problems handling Flash-based content. One of the attractive things about Linux is that it can (and often does) breathe new life into older computers that no longer have the processor power and speed to run the "modern" commercial operating systems.

That puts a new perspective on things.

I wonder if there is a HTML5 version? I honestly don't know a whole lot about HTML5 I remember hearing/reading about it a while back. Guess its time to start reading.

Thanks for changing the way I think about this.
