The secret will be to do as little as possible, I reckon.

If stuff gets out of hand corrective measures will be taken, if possible in consultation with the other admins.

Pretty much what you do in any forum I guess ...

Small, but good start as kids-forum for PCLinuxOS!

Is it also the purpose that they are helped with little problems, like some little look'nfeel configurations for the Desktop?
Or with a game that doesn't start?

What are the ages that'll come there: e.g. 6-18?
=> maybe giving them the first basics of Linux when helping (but keeping it simple)?

Cool project - hopes it gains some success....(maybe I have to find some youth too that likes to participate)!

Not sure how to answer all your questions.

Sproggy and me have each one 12 year old who seems to be eager to do ... stuff.  Probably not the only ones I would like to hope, so lets see what is going to happen.

I don't thin k an age restriction is necessary - bridges like that can be crossed once reached I reckon.

3 kids and already a German sub-forum ...  Grin

You'll be there and me ... but interaction will be difficult.  My son also writes English as a 2nd language but I guess English is more present here than in Germany - well, I don't guess - I know.

On the other hand, kids are funny and get along irespective of those little barriers like language.

And when there are enough members,
Melodie maybe can ask for the opinion of the kids for the PCLinuxOS-edu releases?
(or maybe even let them create some childish, simple artwork for the release  Wink)

(just throwing in some suggestions and ideas....)
