task-kde4 imposes Oxygen-Molecule on GNOME users' Synaptic

I started with PCLinuxOS 2010.12 GNOME, upgraded all packages, and then installed task-kde4 and task-gnome. Then, in GNOME, when I start Synaptic, it will always use Oxygen-Molecule as its theme, unlike other apps which use Equinox.
I know it's because task-kde4 created a file /root/.gtkrc-2.0 which imposes Oxygen-Molecule on gtk+/gnome apps running as root. GNOME users may dislike it.
From experience I have seen a way to solve this: Use a third gtk+ theme that is neither Equinox nor Oxygen-Molecule in /root/.gtkrc-2.0. This way, it is "fair" to both GNOME and KDE users because Synaptic now doesn't "favor" either side. This third gtk+ theme is also a visual hint to the user that "You're now running as root. Be careful."

You installed KDE 4 on top of a Community remastered version of PCLinuxOS which is
beyond the scope of this distribution
. We do not control what is or is not included on Community remasters nor dictate their layout, theme, background, drivers or anything else. We only offer suggestions but it is up to the person remastering their release as to what they end up doing. The remastered versions are offered as a convenience to the users of PCLinuxOS who prefer an alternative desktop to KDE.
PCLinuxOS proper uses the KDE4 desktop as default and uses the gtk-oxygen theme to provide a unified look and feel between KDE4 and GTK2 applications.
