Yeah since I've got the Linux - rather PCLinuxOS I really do feel I've regained a whole lot of freedom from the likes of Microsoft, it isn't missed in the least, I only have to deal with that at the zoo (my place of employment)

Nice to meet you MeeMaw, I'm glad to be here, and yep I'd say this is the very best distro after trying a few out.  Not only that - this forum seems to have a great group of knowledgeable and friendly types, so I won't be running away anytime soon!   

Will be heading on over the the sandbox from the privacy of home tonight, sounds like alot of fun!

Thanks  Sproggy, I've never been one to give out compliments easily, but since I've found PCLinuxOS I can most honestly say I have given up any idea of returning to MS for this wee netbook.  I've had a few friends say they'd be happy to install Win7 or whatever I'd like, but hey I'm just not into doing that any more, I'm here to stay,
