When I install things from Synaptic from the E-17 Desktop sometimes segfaults! Seems like they fix one thing and something else breaks. Kinda of getting old.

Never experienced that here. I do have problems with the mixer module failing to load (sometimes with segfault) at e17 startup. Thanks for fixing editje. |

Same here I've been running with an updated efreet and so far no segfaults when installing or removing apps. I will send to the repos for further evaluation. |
