I'd do it in reverse... at the router so all systems (phones, Nook, PS3, Wii, TiVo, etc.) don't have to be set up individually. I just point them to 192.168.1.1.

Primary: 8.8.4.4
Secondary: 208.67.222.222

Except for my children's PC, where I use OpenDNS 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123 which offers some additional filtering...

It would be great to find a web test like the one mentioned by hal8000 - like a website having a multitude of names to resolve.  I did a quick check with the GRC tool http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm which concluded that my current ISP setup was the best.  Good to get a second opinion so to speak.
