[SOLVED] Need help with Samsung SCX 4521F printer

Hi All,
I have a printer problem with my Samsung SCX 4521F.

The Control Center did find this printer but I just discovered that that driver doesn't do a very good job of printing.

I did download and install the latest driver from Samsung which by the way allows for scanning - Control Center didn't detect a scanner.

The problem is the new driver doesn't print.
If I select it to print with, my printer just sits there - no error messages.

I do know that this new printer driver does work better (at least it does with Mepis 8.5).

I had the same problem with Mepis 8.5 but downloading and installing the new printer seemed to fix all of that.

Can someone please help me?

Well after much mucking about I figured it out!

For some reason Control Center kept insisting that my USB printer was on a parallel port.
It took some doing but was able to figure how to change it to a USB port and voila it now works beautifully!

I'll mark this thread SOLVED and hopefully it will be of help to someone else experiencing printer problems.
