Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get Compiz 3d desktop to run on my system. It wont, so I decided to run Compiz-Check

Code:
Gathering information about your system...

 Distribution:          MandrivaLinux
 Desktop environment:   KDE4
Graphics chip:         ATI Technologies Inc RV730 PRO [Radeon HD 4650]
 Driver in use:         fglrx
 Rendering method:      None

Checking if it's possible to run Compiz on your system...  [SKIP]

 Checking for hardware/setup problems...           [SKIP]

At least one check had to be skipped:
Error: No rendering method in use (AIGLX, Xgl or Nvidia)

It return this error: No rendering method in use (AIGLX, Xgl or Nvidia)

If possible..   then how can I put these in use?

Many Thanks,

That is the same driver that is in our repository. The only difference is with dkms, anytime you install a new kernel the drivers get rebuilt for the new kernel at first boot. Your solution will require you to un-install and rerun their ati installer again everytime you change kernels.

All you needed to do is check the box Enable Translucency when enabling the fglrx driver.
