Wasn't expecting it to read it since I have not installed any camera/photo software other than just the very basic gpicview. It recognized it immediately as a Canon camera, though it did note there was no specific software installed for it, but it still mounted the camera, displayed all the pictures, and let me copy them to my hard drive, just brilliant and smooth....wow...and while i'm at it, i'll give you another "linux-win" moment I had today;
Wanted to share a photo in the sandbox of my new little baby chickens, since the wifey had already uploaded a pic to Facebook, I thought it would be easy to go ahead and link to it, so she opens Facebook account, but no matter what right-click finagling, neither "properties" nor any other option would give her the pic's "true" URL (Windoze), so I had her log-in on MY sweeeeeeeeeet Zen install, had her right-click the pic and easy as can be I pointed to "Open image in new tab" and "Copy image URL" and told her to click either one of those, and boom!....the rest of the story is posted in the sandbox as "sleepy babies"!
Incredible and
thorough job guys, absolute best OS I have used, all I's dotted and all T's crossed, there must be a Virgo at the helm here somewhere
