Well Some Beach O-P!!  I finally got it done.  I had to burn a c-d with the 3.2.10.iso on it.  Then because this computer didn't see the c-d drive correctly(have to check bios) I had to copy everything to "/usr/share/virtualbox/vboxguestadditions.iso"  I spent some lost time trying to do that before I realized I needed to be Root. Now my 32" flat panel TV is full of XP running in VM.  Thank You for all your help.  For a young whipper snapper you are Dang smart.

Well, well, well!!!!  After all that, last night it installed about 70 updates.  Now it tells me it is not a legal copy.  You were right T6.  LOL!!!  All is not lost.  I learned how to do it.  Right.

T6 I did as you said and that certainly is an option.  But with my luck I would get more than I bargained for.  It isn't like I don't have a computer with a Windows O/S on it.  There were two reasons (maybe more) that I wanted to do VBox.  One was to see if I could learn to do it.  With the help of those on this Forum I think I can say "yes".  The other was to run Netflix instant movies.  So I think I will just use the computer as a test computer.  I have a couple computers still running kde 3.5 and need to update programs like FireFox.  I can learn how on the test computer and if I mess up, Oh well.  A device to watch Netflix movies is cheaper than a Windows O/S.  They don't need my money anyway, Tex should get it.

I am running 2009.2 and I am using the repos from " YouCanToo".
They have both firefox 2  and Firefox 3.6x ( I think )
Upgrading caused no problems, except for an extension adblockplus

Xenaflux I have been using the repos at pclosuser.com.  I didn't know they were the same as Youcantoo's.  I would like to see if I can learn to install the latest FireFox 3.6.12.  But I have never done anything like that.  If I did that in a VM and messed up I could start over without screwing up a good install.
