don't know, depends on some other things. Alternatively I can provide a temporary solution next week when I will be back at work.

Any progress on this?  The light version seems to me to be the ideal way to try out Full Monty.

Thanks.  I have played a bit with the live dvd and it looks good.  I just don't want to do a new install for fear of repercussions if I mess up my wife's account Roll Eyes

submitted kde4-config-fm (FullMonty light) to Tex for testing; once approved it should be available in your package manager sometime soon.

happy to announce that you can now search for and install fullmonty-light in Synaptic, which will give you the FullMonty desktop for any new user added to the system after you have installed fullmonty-light. More info on this light-version and the FM-tools can be found in the original post.
have fun!

Is there any way to get an active user account (mine for instance) to switch over to fm_lite from the KDE default? I don't want to delete and re-create my user just to use it and I don't want to have to use a new user-id from now on.

Suggestions welcome?

no, you have to setup a new user first. Then copy whatever from your old user-account into the new one.
