(9-29-10) i have a lexmark z23 inkjet printer, need help please

ok, i found the right driver for the lexmark z23 inkjet printer, so i think, lol, .
ok my printer works but it wont print my test page, prints a blank page, how do i get
 it to print in black only ?.

i think thats my problem, i dont know how to get into that part of the setting.
on my other tower, i have windows xp hom sp3, i am able to set it to print in black only.

this tower has the "PCLinuxOS Gnome 2010.07 desktop" .

so how do i get it to print in black only ?.

If you can provide some specifics, I think assistance will be forthcoming. What driver are you using for the printer ... exactly? You write that your printer works ... but it won't print a test page, so what judgements have you applied that make you conclude that the printer actually works?
