Hi,
you know Google has stopped to develop Picasa for Linux. Here is a brief how-to to install it on your system with full localization support and not to use it under Wine (yes, I know Picasa for Linux runs in a wine environment).
1. Install picasa 3.0 beta from repository
2. Install wine from repository
3. Downlad and install Picasa 3.6 from
http://dl.google.com/picasa/picasa36-setup.exe4. Copy /home/***yourname***/.wine/drive_c/Programmi/Google/Picasa3/ to /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/Program Files/Google/Picasa3 (you have to open dolphin/konqueror as a root to do this
Enjoy!

Please note some features (geotag for example) doesn't work
Tested with Pclinuxos 2010.7, kde 4.5.1, wine 1.2
