Hello, for the first time i use PCLINUX OS Openbox and normally while running Mandriva i can simply change mine display to 1380x768 but when i see xorg.conf there is no any information about the 24 color depth where must i tell nvidia to run in the mode 24 bits and resolution 1380x768 because i have an wide screen and the screen mode now i am running is not welcome.

I am very happy with this distro it runs simply, quick use less memory and is refreshing the openbox do i like very much but for mine nvidia problem i need help.

output xorg.conf:

Two choices. Either in PCC --> Hardware --> Set up the graphical server set the Monitor first then the Graphic Card, then the Resolution, in that order, or as root, edit your xorg.conf and add a Section "Screen" as shown below;
Code:
Section "Screen"
    Identifier "screen1"
    Device "device1"
    Monitor "monitor1"
    DefaultColorDepth 24

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 8
        Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" "480x360" "320x240"
    EndSubsection

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 15
        Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" "480x360" "320x240"
    EndSubsection

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 16
        Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" "480x360" "320x240"
    EndSubsection

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 24
        Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" "480x360" "320x240"
    EndSubsection
EndSection

Edit each Modes line to have your desired resolution as the first quoted entry, ie;

Subsection "Display"
     Depth 24
     Modes "1380x768" "<whatever>" "<whatever>"

Change each <whatever> to the next lower resolution that has the same aspect ratio.

When done, save the file, and either reboot or log out and in.
