When I set out to switch to Linux because Windows had screwed up too often for my taste, I thought this would be quite an adventure.
Well, first it was. But after a few forks in the road I arrived here. And even though I played with the system a little too much, my pulse never really rose again.
- installed one package update only instead of ALL and ended up without X after reboot; apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade repaired everything with no hassles
- had my problems with Intel onboard graphics after upgrade to KDE 4.5.0.; the forum had the answers, and happily I could also help with a hint
- found out that only one cpu was active on my dual core machine; one post to the forum, all solved
- and tonight I entered PCC to set up my wireless Canon IP5200R which I never managed to get running in wireless mode under Vista; it was a breeze!
With regards to the challenge I expected from Linux, I must say, PCLOS is sooooo boring.

But what I really think is
THIS DISTRO AND THIS FORUM ARE SO GORGEOUS!!!!

A big thank you to everyone involved to make PCLOS what it is - the greatest distro with the greatest forum around!
