parnote,
PDF brings me September Issue but it is missing in the Magazine Home page?

I prefer the HTML browsing of the magazine.

Thanks!
I couldn't do it through the main magazine page or parnote's link.
How did you find it?

Edit: aha, I see.

I'm sorry for any confusion. I uploaded everything except the new entrance page until Paul gave me the word to upload. Then, you guys got the notice before I uploaded the new entrance page. You should be able to gain access from the regular methods.

gseaman,

Thank you for your explanation.

Because of the time zone differences and the distance that separate me and gseaman, it's especially difficult to sync it to where the PDF and the HTML come out at exactly the very same moment. But, we make every effort to insure that the PDF and the HTML versions of the mag come out within 24 hours of one another. Most of that time, it's only a few hours difference.

So, for future reference, if you see that the PDF release of the magazine has been announced, but you don't see the HTML version currently active, either download the PDF and enjoy the magazine that way, or be patient and wait just a short bit, for when the HTML version has been activated.

I make the announcement of the magazine's monthly release after a) I have uploaded the PDF to the mag site server, b) created the release announcement, c) Texstar has given his approval of the magazine, and d) gseaman has informed me that the HTML version of the magazine has been completed. Of course, all of this has to work around our regular, full-time jobs, which further complicates synchronizing the release of the PDF and HTML versions.

I hope this explains some of the situation we have to deal with every month.

Not sure if it is me but I have download the September PDF version and when I open it with KPDF I get the error message "Could not open file:///home/user/Downloads/2010-09.pdf".

Even tried downloading on a Windows machine with the same result.

Any Ideas?

Just tried it downloading again and this time it opened OK?

Just a corrupted download would be my guess.
