updated several things at once (everything I could find with alsa in name nad new kernnel options) not sure what fixed it but when I ran the new kernnel OS it showed some new soundcard information in hardware
I had speaker and pluginjack options on Kmix that wer not there before and when I set up and did the test selecting the new analog option soundcard it works with laptpspeakers.
