I thought of this for awhile, but never got around to posting:
I think it might be worthwhile to announce (belatedly) the KDE 4.5 update & the upcoming 4.51 on pclinuxos.com.
I don't know if they are monumental updates but the 4.5 seemed to generate forum activity & was a success.

Way to go tex & the dobie-devs!  Grin
Just to remind visitors that we are the cutting edge! IMO (not-so-humble)  Wink

If you're interested, check Software Announcements regularly. Texstar posts the news there.

PCLinuxOS - without rivals

Um, I think johnmart means posting the announcement on our main site (http://www.pclinux.com).

I too think that it makes sense, considering that not everbody is a member of the forum, but almost anyone downloading PCLOS ro or checking for news will look at the main site.

Just my 2 pennies...

Yup you are probably quite right tschommer - prolly was the main site.  I guess it would need to be worded correctly otherwise it might be assumed that the KDE 2010.7 iso comes with KDE 4.5 already loaded.

Thanks tschommer for clarifying my posting. Yep, I meant the homepage. Usually main pclos updates are highlighted there, Possibly most pslos users go straight to the forum & don't notice pclinuxos.com. I set it s a browser startpage. From there, one click to tex's twitters, a back arrow to home then click the forum.  Wink

Thanks for a your comments.
