Hello

First let me say I'm a pensioner and no very little about tech stuff, so any help would be appreciated.
I've just installed pclos and I have no sound from internal speakers on my Dell inspiron laptop but I have sound on external speakers.
It's the same for browser or playing music.

Thank you

You won't be alone - there are quite a few "old stagers" on the forum, so please feel at home  Grin

Can you let us know which version of PCLinuxOS you installed, that way the forum may be able to point you to the right solution,

If its KDE 2010.x one thing you can try is click the speaker icon in your panel - select "mixer" and then from the resulting window, choose Settings and choose Configure Channels.

Can you see an option in the left hand pane which relates to your internal speakers - if you do, grab it with your mouse and drop it into the right hand pane.

Quit from that area and check if you have sound.
