stuck (grub loading, edd or what...)(mystery)

hi.
today strange thing happened

i turned my computer on and i was very suprised when i got
"grub loading stage 1.5
grub loading, please wait"
message

cursor blinking, nothing i could do...
so i left it turned on and i was doing something else

after maybe 30 minutes (i didnt do anything) it looked like pclos is loading...
another error
something about EDD (that's all i remember...sry)

then after maybe 30 minutes pclos started as if nothing happened
i don't know what's wrong but i alson don't want to go through it again
strangest thing is that i didnt do anything (!!!) and it finaly started...

pclos2010, everything updated (hp compaq 6510b if it can help)
