I would like to know if updates to the repository can be made according to a schedule that will be stringently adhered to, if that is not the case already. This would be helpful to people like myself who need to make arrangements to have updates downloaded, due to lack of broadband access. If a schedule can be agreed upon, I would like to see it made a part of the "News & Announcements" section.

I believe without direct control of the equipment that the different repositories are running on it would be very hard to have a strict schedule for repository updates (syncing). Can you imagine if all the repositories tried to contact the main repository to update. Think of the congestion to the ibiblio server.  If you really need a repository that is updated frequently you can always select http://pclosusers.com repository, it is updated 3 times daily at 6am - 2pm - 10pm PST

Also there is the P.A.S.S. server that get all the latest updates first. For a donation of $25.00 will get you a year long access to it!

To make a donation you can visit here http://pclinuxos.com/?page_id=7 via Google Checkout

If you want to make a payment via Paypal send it to csolisnfl at gmail dot com (thanks Cindy)

For Check or Money Orders send them to:

Bill Reynolds or PCLinuxOS
18618 Cedar Edge Dr.
Spring, Tx 77379

Please include your email address so we will know who to send PASS access information.

EDIT: Corrected donation address

Thanks for the info. That is what I basically needed to know; a repository server that is updated frequently at regularly scheduled intervals. I will be donating to PCLinuxOS, but I will not be needing the P.A.S.S. server. My two system units are now exclusively PCLinuxOS LXDE.
