This may be such a simple thing but I can't seem to figure it out. How does one get that "new" icon in the subject line attached to their new post? I know that I can hit it and see all of the new posts that others have made, but I don't know how to assign it to my own posts....

near your avatar image there is two lines, one says "Show unread posts since last visit." and the other says "Show new replies to your posts."

the first shows all the posts you haven't read or marked as read since your last visit or the last time you pressed that link

the second shows the posts that you created or the ones you have participated

note that if you hit the mark all as read this includes the list of post where you participated/created

What I am talking about is the actual "new" icon that shows up on some posts but not on others.

Maybe I should ask another question... did my post have the "new" icon in the subject line when you first saw it? If so, then it would answer my question in that it shows up automatically and there is nothing I need to do....

I saw the New button, too, so you're covered.
