Hi.

Just installed pheonix and can't get sound to work at all.

The module as seen by this command is loaded correctly and I don't seem to get a hint of sound. It is a creative sound card.

cat /proc/asound/modules:    0 snd_emu10k1x
                                        1 snd_hda_intel

In gnome and other environments I had no head banging like this. It just worked. Checked everything I could find related with sound. Grin

Please suggest me as to what I am missing?

Which card is your primary sound card?

Hi.

It is a quite old creative 5.1 card. The card is being detected as Creative Labs [live]... emu10k1x is the driver shown loaded under control center.
