If there was something wrong with the battery, the time would keep resetting would it not?

Oh yeah, some BIOS have an unusual boot selection setup. For example, there are options like

DVD-ROM Drive
Hard Disk
Flash Disk
etc.

And then you would have to go to a different menu to select *which* hard disk you want to boot first.

I tink Your wright...
I gonna inspect the time in the bios to, yesterday i could not because of a thunderstorm.
When i press F2 for the bios i must change and save the settings, then the computer starts up.
The next time... No success.
I look further.
Thanks,

Hi,
First i have change in the Bios...
The time... 2 hours behind local time.
Also i enabled write mode in the Bios, was disabled, i think that when a saved the start up disk that it was NOT saved.
The computer now... Cleaned from dust in the ventilators.
Now where the battery is, can buy a new one. Otherwise i find nothing that can by wrong.
MAYBE : I have when i installed PCLinuxOS on this computer not seen what was indicated as the start up disk ?
Thank all for the advices, when done i let now.

Hallo,
This morning the computer starts NOT up...
A friend is coming to inspect the computer, battery ok, motherboard ok... Nothing wrong, his relative new.
Than i have installed another Linux-System... ( No names, think is better so )  And no problems, i think its something in the hardware, its not a easy computer that I-Media from Packard Bell.
Weird, on my other 3 computers, Apple include i have no problems with PCLinuxOS.
Sorry, but nothing to do about.
Again thanks for the help.
