I would like to make a donation but at the moment it's only payable through Google.
I do not want to set up yet another account, could we not have Paypal added?

I had actually been considering raising some questions and suggestions regarding donations when I found this thread.

I went to the thread that Ramchu linked-to in the post above (which is locked for some reason) and saw that an email address was given for a PayPal account to which one can send donations for PCLOS. But the only online option I saw offered on the donations page ( http://pclinuxos.com/?page_id=7 ) was to purchase PASS access for a minimum of $25.00 via Google checkout. I found no mention of PayPal there, let alone a link or button

And while $25.00 certainly seems more than reasonable for PASS access, what about those who might wish to merely make a donation of a lesser amount?

Wouldn't it only make sense to put both PayPal as well as a Google Checkout Donate buttons/links on at least the home pages of both the forum as well as the main site?

From what I have seen, PayPal is far more commonly used than Google Checkout- at least when it comes to donations.

Also, where you give the postal address for sending checks and money orders, and say,

Quote from: Donations Page
Please include your email address so we will know who to send PASS access information.

wouldn't it be a good idea to add that donations of any amount are also welcome?

Perhaps there is something I'm missing here; maybe the powers-that-be have their reasons for having it the way it is now. It seems to me, however, as if implementing my suggestions could only increase the number of donations received. I hope no offense will be taken at this post. I only mean to be helpful.

I've been without a job for two years, and really don't need PASS access.  I think this is a worthy suggestion.  As I could drop a fiver here and there, but $25 is a little steep for me now.

Those who wish to help with a donation will do so. Everyone else will just talk about it.  Wink

With the link to Linuxera, I was able to drop a fiver, thanks Linuxera, and thanks OP for starting the thread. Grin
