EepC 1201N
No sound is heard under LiveCD.
Card is Nvidia MCP79, driver installed is snd_hda_intel.
I try also the NVAUDIO driver  but there is no sound.
Under Win7 I see that Realtek card is also installed and working.
Please advise

Hi ui670 - what LiveCD are you using? Gotta know that for answers to be accurately provided.

IF its PCLinuxOS KDE 2010x the first thing that people are asked to check - so they can be discounted - is have you clicked on the KMix Loudspeaker icon and turned the volume right up. And make sure the mute isn't ticked.  Also at the KMix icon, Select Mixer > Settings > Configure channels and drag the ones required over to the r/hand panel.

The volume is up and no mute.

What type of sound files are you trying to listen to; Is it through Firefox or Amarok  or Kaffeine etc....

problem solved by drugging the speakers icon in the kmix window
