First...
On my AMD - Athlon x1800+ with NVIDIA, everything works fine.
Apple also, no problems.
My intel also ok.
Now, yesterday i want to install pcLINUXos on my Packard Bell..
it is a Intel Pentium 4 - ATI Radeon XPress 100.
- 1024 MB
After updating a could not login, on the screen there was a message with different names...
Login as adm, and other choices, my name was also in that message.
When i login on my name, i have a little message in the left corner of my screen with, localhost@freddy.

I tryed to login in safe mode, no success.
Than F3 for kernel in safe mode, no success.  Embarrassed
I have installed than Mandriva One 2010 and after 3 logins i have success. ( I think Mandriva and Pclos are not so different )

I like PCLOS more, but i am not convinced that the hardware of this computer is compatible.
Is there anyone who uses Packard Bell ? And was succeeded to install PCLOS - KDE4 on his machine ?
What could give my those errors, anyone could help ?
Thanks in advance for advices.  Wink

On the Packard Bell, well i am succeeded !
Must do some work more, but its to hot on my computer room. Here it is at the moment 33° in the shadow, and my old airco gives it up.
Just when i want to open synaptic... i click on it, see it blinking in the panel, but it stops.
Gonna hold down now... Hot !
THANKS for the help, a really appreciate it.  Wink
