OK, I was under the impression that the new .iso's were simply a snapshot of were the OS should be via "updates".
So if that is the case, I could be fully updated, but still not necessarily current with LXDE. Is that a correct assumption?
If you are fully updated, you are fine.
I simply changed a few app choices (for example, Screenie is very much smaller than mtpaint screenshot) and added a newer kernel. Otherwise, it is the same system fully updated at the time of release.
I didn't realize that there were quarterly iso "releases" with LXDE.
There were not last year, but this year, yes, there are. The purpose is the keep the size and amount of updates smaller for new users / new installs.
Is everything 'Go' for LiveUSB with the new ISO?
