[SOLVED]Nova-TD USB stick not loading firmware
«

Hi Folks,
I'm having trouble loading the firmware for the above DVB stick. The log says It can't find the firmware file, but I can see it there in the /lib/firmware folder along with all the other firmware files. It has no problem finding the firmware for the techno trend DVB-S and Freecom DVB-T devices. Is there any way I can force it it load the firmware, could it just be a corrupted firmware file?
I'll have a try tonight at replacing the firmware file to see if it fixes the problem, but has anyone had a similar issue before?

First upgrade your kernel to the latest version,
this worked here when the firmware file did not load (suddenly, after a Synaptic update)

Awesome, new kernel and all is well with the nova-t. thanks very much.
I guess I assumed using "mark all update" would also grab new kernels.
So, next step is mythweb. should I post a thread in the software section or keep it in the software discussion forum?
i'll keep it in the discussion for now...

I think once you could select a "kernel-latest" package to always keep you at the latest - not sure if this feature is stil maintained. I usually don't update until I specifically need to.
As for the posts, normally one issue one thread - and the issue on mythweb is far from this topic so I'll recommend to start a new one and mark the first post in this thread [Solved]
cheers,
