KDE 4 Printing Woes .... HP . Anyone Else?(Finished)

Greetings,
I've got two duplicate PC's, one with 2007, one with 2010. Both HP printers. I found out that that 2007 is no longer supported, so I installed 2010 on one of the two.
Come time to print, and no duplex . I've got i configured correctly in Cups and everywhere else, but it just doesn't respond to the settings.
Can anyone duplex print with KDE 4?
I've tried it with Mepis 8.5 too, and it wouldn't work there either with KDE 4.
Everything worked fine with KDE 3.

What kind of printer are you using. I'm using a HP P1006 and I have no problem in KDE4, as a matter of fact it works better now than in KDE3 for me.

I have two identical PC's, one with a HP Deskjet 930c, the other a HP OfficeJet Pro L7650. Neither one will print in duplex like they should, and did in KDE3. All the settings are set( CUPS, PCC,HP CC), but the software will not follow what it's told.
This is a KDE4 issue, as I tried a Mepis8.5 live CD also w/KDE4, and no duplex there either.
Since I'm shut out of further updates with 2009 software, I may have to go to Mepis as they still offer and support a KDE3 version 8.0 software.
I posted this in the software section too, but I got no response. I don't know what to think .... Is this an ongoing problem?
If the software will not respond to clear printing commands, there is something wrong with it. There is a huge disconnect between the PCC, CUPS and the HP CC. Huge. One doesn't know what the other is doing. It's driving me nuts.
Thanks for the reply, but it seems there is not enough help here.
