I installed Compiz and I enabled 3d effects in the PCLOS Control Center.  I have 3d effects, but I cannot figure out how to get different wallpaper on each desktop.  In PCLOS 2009 there was a setting that allowed one to make a separate selection for each desktop, but I cannot find that option in PCLOS 2010.

Unless something is different while running 3D effects the option should be,, Configure Your Desktop/Look and Feel/Desktop/Multiple Desktops. There should be a box you can click to turn on "Different activity for each desktop"

I tried that, but all of my icon shortcuts disappeared from all the desktops, and when I selected new wallpaper it appeared on all the desktops.

Something might be different when running Compiz. I don't use it so my advice might be invalid.

I did notice, however, that I have to go through each desktop and set it up individually after checking the option so you might try that.

Like I said, since I am not using "effects" something might be different.  Good luck!  Wink

I tried Compiz too but found it stuffed up my multiple desktops with their different backgrounds. They all disappeared except for one.

I disabled it when I couldn't figure out how to fix it and things returned to normal. The 'all effects' in Configure your Desktop are good enough for me.
