{Solved} Firmware file not found after latest update => NO TV ...

Just updated my Zen Mini 2010 this morning, and after reboot the Hauppauge DVB card can't find the firmware file anymore (info from dmesg output).


dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-T 500 Dual DVB-T' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
usb 2-1: firmware: requesting dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw
dvb-usb: did not find the firmware file. (dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw) Please see linux/Documentation/dvb/ for more details on firmware-problems. (-2)


The Hauppauge is a Nova-T 500 card that uses the firmware dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw

Both dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw and dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw are in the /lib/firmware folder - and the system has worked great for years (a couple of months with Zen mini now)

Upgrading to a newer kernel fixed it - in this case I tried the a64 optimized,

This issue has just reappeared in Zen 2010.10 with the default kernel,

downgrading to 2.6.32.24.bfs solved the problem - i.e. the firmware files for dvb are found again,
