I installed PCLOS Gnome on my Gateway LT20 netbook. The problem I have having at the moment is that video files like mp4 or mpg which was actually the mp4 converted to mpg on a different machine runs choppy.  I have a avi file off my camera that will run fine. BTW the mp4 was taken from a friends Flip video camera.

The netbook has 1 gb ram with the atom processor. It appears that the bios and motherboard are made by Acer. I tried the the suggestions in the How-to in the forum about the Acer Asprie One none of the suggestions made a difference. I have a frame rate average of 280 fps from what I have read is slow. The only thing that helped was changing the color from 24 bits to 16.

The same file runs fine on my Dell laptop

Any ideas as to what I should try now?
