I'm using an NVIDIA graphics card and the NVIDIA X Server Settings.  TwinView configuration works just fine.  Problem occurs when I try using the Separate X Screens configuration.  The second desktop starts fine and everything seems to work except the window decorations.  Decorations are fine in Desktop0.  I think this is some sort of a Compiz problem but am not sure. I read about a workaround somewhere for the xorg.conf and tried adding:

    Option         "AddARGBVisuals" "True"
    Option         "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"

both in the Device1 and Screen1 sections but to no avail.  I also opened the Compiz configurator on Desktop1 and all settings seem correct.

My two monitors support different resolutions.  I would really like to switch to Separate X from FullView because FullView has some dead space.  Plus, Separate X seems a lot cooler with it's own multiple desktops and all.

Does anyone know how to get around this problem?  It's not so bad not having the decorations, but I can't figure out how to move and resize windows on that desktop.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  (Not sure it matters, but I'm running 2009.)

Yeah it does seeing that I don't think you can upgrade 2009 anymore. You might want to do a fresh install of Pclinuxos 2010 one of the varieties of desktops.

For PCLOS 2010, do windows decorations work on a dual-monitor system running Separate X for each display and using 2 different screen resolutions?

I ran a dual output Radeon video card with two different flat panels but i have to go into here etc/x11/xorg.conf there you will find the xorg config file. You need to edit the xorg.conf file there with a text editor like kate. In order to do this you open up a terminal and type " kdesu kate ".

Code:
dSectionSection "Monitor"
    Identifier "monitor1"
    VendorName "Generic"
    ModelName "Flat Panel 1280x800"
    HorizSync 28.8-90
    VertRefresh 60

    # Monitor preferred modeline (60.0 Hz vsync, 48.9 kHz hsync, ratio 16/10, 108 dpi)
    ModeLine "1280x800" 68.9 1280 1301 1333 1408 800 804 808 816 -hsync -vsync

    # TV fullscreen mode or DVD fullscreen output.
    # 768x576 @ 79 Hz, 50 kHz hsync
    ModeLine "768x576"     50.00  768  832  846 1000   576  590  595  630

I showed you this section on my xorg.conf file on my toshiba laptop which is only single resolution. However you can change this by changing each resolution in the mode line of each par and under monitor under model name.
