Ok this is a strange one, i've changed the Grub background to the one i used with the 2009.2 and on the system itself it shows up great and no issues. After doing a remaster, the grub on the newly made ISO has no background (just black and the text shows up). However, when doing an installation from that ISO, the Grub on the new installed system DOES have the new Grub Background.
I've changed all the images in the /usr/share/gfxboot (both install and boot and in the message file as well). Any suggestion on what else i need to change ?

Check that menu.lst is pointing to the correct location of the background on the live media ?

Mmm... if i just changed the current background with a file of the same name, why would the location change?

yup, i changed in all locations. As i mentioned, from the installed machine the new background is appearing. But when booting from the new ISO the grub shows up as black background, as if it couldn't load the image.

Did you strip the image of meta-data? Grub can't load heavy images.

Open the image with Gimp. Save it as a .png graphic. Close Gimp. Open the .png that you just created with gimp. Save it as .jpg. This will remove the meta-data.

Doesn't matter, i started from scratch and while i "ripped off" the flames from the previous grub my sister made (untill she makes me a new one), and so far it's now working on regular VM, i'm gonna remaster and check if it will now appear on the iso grub as well.
