I updated from PASS about an hour ago and it worked fine.  I noticed that it did not try to install enlightenment this time.  Somebody changed something somewhere, and the update was smooth.

Same for me. I just installed it all. Then later I studied all the new eeee-things & realised I got an E17DE. I was enlightened!  Grin
So I located all the Enlightenment DE files & uninstalled them. no problem. I then searched out E17 & found an innocent app--
eet: Eet is a tiny library designed to write an arbitary set of chunks of data to a file and optionally compress each chunk (very much like a zip file)
When I tried to clear out that last bit of E17 it warned me that it would also rip out half my KDE desktop. So I left it!

Watch out for eet!  Grin

Thanks from me, too, Tex. I was having a couple of issues before the update. They have gladly disappeared.
