I had this problem last night with a usb drive not being detected or mounted. I have several kernels installed so I rebooted to another one and it worked. Oddly enough when I rebooted back to the default kernel, it worked again. Have you rebooted?
Hi Jobble, sure I rebooted.
I could not paste the content of the files, because they were too large : the list of updates include
2 udev packages, one udev, and one looks like a lib related to udev. So I have 2 questions about that : could it be related to udev ? And am I the only one who meets with this problem ?
Thanks.
PS: ehci-hcd and uhcd-hcd are both loaded, but they are used by : nothing (0 in the column) and lsusb invoked as root returns nothing. The usb connectors don't get any power supply. (The mouse and the usb keys don't light up)
PS 2: I found some commands with udev :
as root, the command "udevadm test" returns back:
run_command: calling: testudevadm_test: version 153 //this is the newest udev updated to
syspath parameter missing //could this show something going wrong about the way udev works ?
I should also say that I tried to configure the mouse and usb devices in the PCC, in hardware, in mouse, tried to review the services activated, and did not progress on this side. The PCC configures a mouse, quits silently, and it is still not working.
