Unbelievable. I have out of the box wireless connectivity with my Broadcom PCM without having to kluge my own driver, and I can watch hi-def youtube without herky-jerky graphics.

I started with MiniMe and have just begun to get my base apps established. And they are all new for me... goodbye kde3, hello kde4... goodbye firefox, hello chromium... goodbye evolution, hello thunderbird... goodbye <blank>, hello choqok... this is fun!... and yes... goodbye vista, hello pclos.

Now off to uncover some audio/video gems...

Thanks Texstar... after 2009's wobbly start, I doubted there would ever be another release. But 2010 is stellar (not to mention all the non-kde variants). How you do all this in a 24 hour day is unimaginable. What's next? 64-bit?

Kewl... I wasn't even aware of my status... Maybe I should have dusted off one of my sock puppets for that post, lol.

If you check my posting history, you'll see I've been dormant for quite some time, with just a few sporadic sandbox posts. I dropped 2009 for Vista not long after it came out when it choked on video, adobe air, flash, nntp server issues ... wow, I could go on but the flashbacks too much for me. Although I haven't tested all that ground w/2010, what I have seen so far is brilliant. Maybe 2010 will become the "u-bun-2-killer" ...

"What's next? 64-bit?"

We know the future. Kyle Reese told us: In 2012, a PClinuxOS server in Texstar room will gain conciousness, then infiltrate Skynet to get more access to more powerful hardware, then it decides the future of mankind is to live as slaves. Then Terminators are built to hunt us. Enjoy your freedom while you can!
