emerald theme manager is not usable, all i can do is select a window decoration and the app closes itself without any warning, if you try to open the config menu you can work but you can't edit a existing theme

running the app form konsole reports this long list(when i choose another decoration)

Segmentation fault

the app is capable of change the window decorations but is not more usable than that, any ideas what is causing this? maybe a gtk setting i choose wrong?(a window theme that should be used?)

Yup - confirmation confirmed!

I believe I reported this during beta testing.

I too can change to a different theme and import and add new ones but no joy whatsoever in being able to edit them.

There was an Emerald update on the 15th-April (emerald (0.8.4-1pclos2010) to 0.8.4-2pclos2010) but whatever the update was for it didn't resolve this problem.

you can unzip the file(it is a zip file renamed) and create a folder with the contents and then copy that folder to /home/thenameofyouruser/emerald/themes

when you open emerald it will be listed at the bottom on the list, select it, it will be used and then the app dies  Grin

annoying but works

the theme files for emerald theme manager are thenameofthefile.emerald

the file itself is a zip, if you rename the thenameofthefile.emerald to thenameofthefile.tar.gz you can decompress the contents to a folder called thenameofthefile(if it doesn't create that file after decompress it) and then follow the steps i mentioned previously

i said it is a .zip file but is a compressed .tar.gz compressed file

i was talking about themes you download from

http://kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=102

it is the compiz section, you will find most of the basic themes that comes with emerald and many more, just download what you like and see if it goes well with your desktop

Well, I can't get it to work. Emerald Theme Manager opens, the theme is there, I highlight it and the app. closes. This makes Emerald Theme Manager unusable in this release.
