Question before downloading 2010

In anticipation of the pending availability of PCLOS 2010 and PCLOS-Gnome 2010, I have a question. I have used primarily the Gnome version since I discovered it, but again find myself wanting some of the packages that are intended for KDE. so I know I will need both KDE and Gnome. So which is the better and easier way to get both? Install PCLOS and then add Gnome with Synaptic, or install PCLOS-Gnome and add KDE with Synaptic?

I remember an attempt I made a couple years ago, before I discovered PCLOS-Gnome, of trying to install Gnome on PCLOS 2007 with Synaptic that bombed royally, ultimately requiring wiping the hard drive and reinstalling PCLOS. At that time, there was no single package that I could install through Synaptic to get everything needed for Gnome, so I probably missed some dependencies. Is there now an easier way to get both KDE and Gnome after installing from one version's Live CD or the other?

And letting curiosity get to me, I also want to try LDXE (which I think is the GUI that was used in the now gone Sam Linux) and the upcoming Enlightenment E-17. I no longer have a spare computer that I can use exclusively for distro surfing, so in my mind the best way to try the various GUIs out is to add them on the same installation of one version of PCLOS and then select which session I want to run from the menu at the log on screen.

Whichever desktop environment you choose as a starting point, there are entries in synaptic for the other desktops in the tasks section. These will ensure you miss non of the dependencies.
