Hi,

I'm very happy to think I will announce the French fellows I not only found a distro easier than their one and only (put here any known name), but that additionally I can tell them for sure, since my experience with it started with Minime 2008, that has helped me doing my tasks when my other usual distribution got a bad cough after some updates. Grin

Now I'm not coming on this section forum just for that, because I just found a very nice article about students using PCLinuxOS in Vietnam, and as a matter of fact, among 5 in the top usual distros PCLinuxOS is the one they have adopted.

Students using PCLinuxOS in Vietnam

.....

Finally, I decided to test PCLinuxOS with my students. Wow, amazing. Finally a Linux distro that the majority of my students actually liked using. It ran faster than any of the other Linux distros they tried and easily connected to the internet from inside the school (they like to read Yahoo 360 blogs in class). They figured out how to use Konquerer to browse around the different directories in their laptops without me even telling them. As with Macbooks, the Desktop GUI was easy to learn. Thus, I decided to use PCLinuxOS.

Unfortunately we lost so much in the forum server hiccup a while back.  Sad

When this was fresh news, back in 2007, not only did the teacher/author of the article join the forum, so did a number of the students from that class.  Wink

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

SImple doesn't begin to describe the new 2010 version. Even KDE4 is a breeze!  Cheesy

PCLinuxOS has no wealthy sponsors and can only survive with your donations! Don't wait it might be too late.

I don't know.
Mine boots up and everything. Then it just sits there and doesn't do anything.
Shouldn't there be a show or a song or something?   Smiley
