e17 - accidentally changing to other windows

I am having  trouble accidentally switching to other windows. When the mouse pointer hits the edge of the screen, it flicks into another window. Drives me crazy. On the laptop I changed the windows setting so it has only one window.
When trying PCLOS 2010 e17 on my laptop from live CD I got the same problem. Is there any setting to change so that moving the mouse pointer to the edge of the screen does NOT switch to another window?
