My Google-Fu no good!

« on: March 13, 2010, 06:15:28 PM »

Hello. I have  a suggestion for the introductions section of the forum. After looking at it I came to the conclusion that it seems rather cluttered and messy, with constant threads being created just to say hi.
My suggestion is something that is implemented on a forum that I regularly post to. At the start of every year an Introductions thread (ie: Introductions - Start Here 2010) is created by the forum admin for that year. All introductions are done in that one thread and new threads created by new users just to say hi are merged into the Introductions thead.

lol
you are being funny right?
But seriously this is an idea that could be a Good Thing for this forum, just trying to contribute something other than "it won't work. Why?", kind of posts. Although in part this is why the forum exists, to give support to users and developers.

Thank you for the idea!

I for one enjoy each and every newcomer to the forum, and welcome the opportunity to find out all about them. Maybe after a time where the thread is no longer being answered, our sweet mods can then combine them. (We are all about choice. Ultimately, it's up to the admins.)
