Partitions and fstab

I'm in the process of configuring a Dell Mini 10v. I have a small partition for the XP that I'll almost never use (20GB - something went wrong there as I was expecting 30!). Three around 10 GB for OSs and three around 30 GB for data, one of these is formatted as NTFS-G3 so as to be accessible to XP as well as Linux. In the past I've written the fstab file by hand with much trial and error, as that was the only way I knew, but hadn't a clue as to what to put in for the NTFS partition.
Now I discover I can do it all in PCC. If I specify the mount points for each partition and allow it to save to fstab on closing, the mount points are created and the correct entries added to fstab. I wish I'd known that before! Perhaps everyone else knows this already?

How does one become a hero? By asking a lot of dumb questions apparently! I have three computers of various ages, the most powerful is a Dell Netbook 10v; each has 2 or 3 versions of PCLOS of various vintages. Location, St John's, Newfoundland.

Ouch! LOL , yeah, it's always good to have a good look thru what the PCLOS Control Center allows you to do, saves a lot of time, and manual fiddling.

There is no shame in saying "I don't know".
