Hi to everyone! What wrong with Pidgin? Trying to connect and it said:

Received unexpected response from http://api.oscar.aol.com/aim/startOSCARSession

But sometime ago it was fine. It happened too at 2 computers promptly. Before was pclos 2009 and pidgin 2.6.4, now have 2010 beta1 and pidgin 2.6.6, but have same priblem.
Tested another distro has no problems with pidgin. Now using Kopete, it works... But wanna return pidgin usable))
Thank you!

Just installed 2010 final this weekend.  I have the same Pidgin problem as tuxman.  Same server message.  Any ideas?

Edit:  Grrrrr......a little searching on the inter-tubes yielded the following which WORKS:

"Having trouble with AIM/ICQ? Uncheck 'Use clientLogin' on the advanced tab of the account settings."

The AIM protocol on Pidgin is working very happily now!  Sweet!   Grin Grin Grin

I am using 2.6.6 with Gmail, Yahoo and Skype integrated .....  and have seen no problems.

Is the problem reported above with one particular type of account?
