I installed pclinuxos 2009 on an older computer and it's working great.  I'm a bit of a newbie to Linux, so it was a relief to get it working.  However, I need to move this computer to another location and that means wireless.  I have an old Linksys WUSB12 adapter, but since that's pretty slow, I'm considering upgrading and buying a G or N adapter, but wanted to check to see if there were recommendations on which have the best driver support.

Like I said, I have 2009 for right now, but it seems like we will be steered toward 2010 soonish.  Granted, I really don't understand what that means in terms of network compatibility, but I just wanted to throw that out there in case it changes the recommendations.

Belkin G+ works with the new 2010 beta and gives excellent coverage (100% at home). At the moment I am using Belkin g adapters with 2009.4 KDE3.5 & LXDE and I am getting about 70% signal strength. I have had no problem setting up and running Belkin. I've not tried N series so can't comment on it.

THanks for the reply.  Is that the F5D7050 or 7051 you're using?  (from some searching, I think they use different drivers and/or firmware)

The Belkin G+ adapter I have uses F5D7050 with rt73 firmware. rt73 is included with 2009 & 2010
