I have noticed that when you mouse over pdf editions lately the cover of the magazine does not show anymore.

Is there away to change that? I have all the mags in a directory and think it is neat to see the covers as you mouse over.

Are you running KDE4?

If so, you have to tick "Show tooltips" in either Konqueror or Dolphin ("Settings"->"Configure Konqueror/Dolphin"->"General"->the "Behaviour" tab).

If you wish your pdf icons to be thumbnails instead, you first have to tick "Postscript, PDF and DVI Files" on the next tab and then click "Preview" in the "View" menu (or click the Preview button on the toolbar in Dolphin).

Edit:

I was a bit too hasty in answering. The most likely reason for your problem is that the latest PCLinuxOS Magazine is so large (over 11 MiB) that you may have to adjust the maximum file size on the tab where you ticked "Postscript, PDF and DVI Files".

Also note that your configuration changes may not take effect immediately unless you restart Konqueror or Dolphin.

Thanks, blackbird! I was wondering how to get the preview back, myself. I didn't think (or know) that it has something to do with the file size of the magazine. Rather, I thought it had more to do with me having to compress the magazine PDF in order to keep the file size as low as possible.

BTW, your solution works exceptionally/equally well in KDE 3.5.10.

Blackbird I am running KDE4 and your adjustments produced the covers in full color with mouse over now.

Thank you very much.
