I think that we need to use ROFM; i.e. Read Our Fantastic Magazine Grin -- used courteously and as an addition to giving answers.
Seriously, I do like the idea of a section for absolute beginners. I'd have loved to have encountered such a place as described here when I first started out. (I still have trouble with manuals, BTW.)

Seriously, I do like the idea of a section for absolute beginners. I'd have loved to have encountered such a place as described here when I first started out. (I still have trouble with manuals, BTW.)

Sorry T6. RTFM is a very tender sore spot for me. It wasn't all that long ago I was that Linux newbie, and RTFM was heard many times (but never on this forum). In fact, one of the reasons I chose PCLinuxOS was because of the friendliness of this forum and that no one was ever told the dreaded "RTFM" phrase, or any of the other elitist phrases.
